Subtracting these four weekend days from the 12 calendar days gives you 8 net business days, assuming no public holidays fall during this specific period. If an official holiday like Columbus Day lands on Monday, October 13, you would subtract one additional day, leaving a final total of 7 active business days.

When planning important milestones, always double-check regional holiday schedules, as public holidays vary significantly by country and state. Second, decide in advance whether your start or end date should be inclusively counted in the final tally, which can shift your timeline by a crucial 24 hours.
